tree cathedrals

Just discovered via one of my favorite professor's blogs, Gospel of the Trees, that a new trend in religious architecture has sprung up: tree cathedrals. They are beautiful, and wonderful, and I want desperately to visit one (or all). What a wonderful thing!
So very, very beautiful. Architects are beginning to plant the trees and design them (see last picture) to resemble Gothic architecture grown right from the ground.

  1. Totally Coolio. I wanted to plant trees on either side of the driveway that would grow over to meet in the middle. Too sandy of soil.

  2. That would look great though! Maybe we will just work on PLANTING the vine on the trellis?
