Things I have learned today: (if you aren't learning something new every day, you aren't paying attention.)

1. Do not sharpen your eyeliner in an electric pencil sharpener, even if you cannot find any other kind, even if you feel like you really need eyeliner.

2. Kettles are hot after they have had water come to a boil, and should be grabbed with caution.
