tell me as a star

Do the musings of my pen impress you,
As so oft'n as they impress me full of
silliness? I wonder because I like you,
With a slipper-shine like that I'm unsure of.
So tell me what you think of Milton,
of Keats. Tell me what impresses you and I
would imitate. If you wanted imitation,
But that is not impressively beautiful,
And I would that my own small thoughts and such,
Humble as they may be on this paper,
Caught you as a star catches a firefly -
I can't - you as the star, I as the fly.
