it snowed

Wheaton is so much more beautiful covered in snow. There is a transition in the world when it begins to snow - I could feel it the other night even half asleep. I don't know if it is barometric pressure or what but I just knew that it was snowing. It feels so wintry and safe, like rain on the roof at home, except more . . . wintry. I have an extraordinary number of books on my shelves these days, including but not limited to the 3,000 page 8th edition of the Norton Anthology of English Literature (try carrying THAT around in your backpack all day) and a hulking volume entitled "A Survey of the Old Testament." It is what it sounds like. Thrilling.

Must run get my French volumes from the bookstore - more weight!!!
